Jim Parker

Jim lived in Japan from 1968 to 2011 when he returned (temporarily?) to take care of his elderly parents in Arizona. He enjoys meeting people and visiting new places. He has a small sailing dinghy (16") in which he started to circumnavigate Japan in October of 2010 but had to return to the US after three months due to his parents failing health.

Even in that short period of time, he had some memorable experiences.

The dinghy's name is Deai (出逢い) which in Japanese means to encounter. Although Jim loves sailing, his real objective is to encounter new people and experiences and create an blog and video documentary of his trip. A few videos were completed during the three months that you can view on his website www.japantouring.com

He plans one day to return to Japan and continue the journey.
